These are American operators with state licences of their own, and they picked a supplier already approved where they operate.

That is a harder credential than a long market list. US gaming regulators approve suppliers state by state, each with its own filing, testing and fees, and an operator entering Michigan cannot use a platform cleared only for New Jersey. A supplier already through that process in your state removes months from your launch.

Certification is thinner than the licensing. PCI DSS SAQ A covers card data handling at the simplest tier, and nothing else appears. For a supplier holding your players' accounts across several US states, ask what else has been through independent testing — GLI reports, penetration tests, an information security standard — and ask for the documents rather than the claim.
